War

The security perimeter was fragile but
Military experts said the contrary. . .
And everyone felt good and free:
I saw children playing, women shopping,
Each one doing what was supposed
To be done; guards smoking their cigarettes,
While the attack was being planned.

The intruders came one night. . .
They were the enemy and brought death,
Tears, pain and easily
Destroyed human beings and theories!
Political and Military authorities
Could not understand such defeat. . .
Speechless, they found no words!
But I saw corps all over the streets,
Blood all over their memories,
Sorrow all over their reality
